The Latrobe Regional Gallery show has come to a close.

It marked one of the most significant solo multimedia installations I've ever undertaken, with six days spent in Morwell by myself last October. It presented a considerable challenge, requiring me to take numerous risks due to some difficulties of the space.

Of course I tried several experimental trials in my studio beforehand, the reality on-site was always unpredictable and impossible to fully gauge until I step in to the space.

However, through extensive discussions and consultations, collaborating closely with the gallery team made everything run very smoothly. A special mention goes to Christopher for his incredible preperation with his craftmanship! – without him, the show would never have come to fruition!

I was also delighted to receive plentiful positive feedback, including from a girl who danced among the installations (oh, how I wish I could have witnessed it!).

Latrobe Reginal Galleryの大きな作品の展示が終了しました。

それは私がソロアーティストとしてやった作品としてはかなり大きなスケールの展覧会で、去年の10月にモーウェルで6日間滞在制作した成果です。

家のスタジオでは色々試作をしてみたものの、現場は当然ながらまるで違うばしょです。この大きなギャラリーの空間でほんとにちゃんと毛糸の張力が保たれるか、時間は足りるか、UVライトはたりるだろうかなどなど未知の部分が多くかなり大きなリスクをひめての仕事でしたが、しかし、ラトローブ・ギャラリーのキュレーションとテクニカルチームが大変素晴らしい下準備をしてくれたおかげですべてが大変スムーズにすすみました。とくにテックチームのクリストファーの工夫と創意の結晶のおかげです。彼がいなければショーは決して実現しなかったでしょう！

全体として大変入場者も多く、好評だったということでほっとしました。インスタレーションの空間の中でずっと踊り続けた少女もいたとか（ああ、私もそこにいたかった！）。こういうフィードバックが一番うれしいですね。
