Artist statement:
This site-specific installation continues my career-long exploration of the boundaries between painting and sculpture. Using only fine cotton thread as my primary vocabulary, I constructed a 2.2-metre-high field of interwoven lines that blurs the line between two-dimensional surface and three-dimensional space.

The work emphasises "making-in-the-moment"—an improvisational, process-based approach where the physical act of layering becomes as significant as the final form. Rather than following a predetermined plan, the piece grew through an intuitive, on-site dialogue between my body and the materials.

By layering threads horizontally and vertically, I sought to push the possibilities of minimal materials, creating a surface that vibrates with the nuanced color shifts of an Impressionist painting. It is an intersection where the tactile nature of thread transcends into a non-material field of light and color.
